From November 13th to 15th Amsterdam will be hosting METSTRADE, the biggest B2B marine equipment trade show.
In the 2018 edition, the Turin based company Solbian will introduce a new series, the Guardian SX which will further expand Solbian’s offer.
The Guardian technology addresses one of the most important problems of photovoltaics, the shading issue: as a matter of fact shadows sensibly reduce the efficiency of solar modules, thus compromising their effectiveness.
Guardian SX Series uses the exclusive design of Day4 stay- powerful™ technology, stay-powerful cells can optimize the module’s performance even when shaded by trees, buildings or partially covered by leaves, snow or debris.
The main difference between standard and Guardian modules is that a single shaded cell can decrease the power of a Guardian panel by only a ninth, whereas a standard module in the same situation would lose one third to half of its output.
The result is a panel that is far less sensitive to shading, a clear advantage in all kind of installations but especially on sailing boats, where shadows are unavoidable.
Another important news will be announced at METSTRADE 2018: the ISP (Invisible Solar Power) option will be updated. The portfolio of graphics to be applied on the panel’s surface will be enriched: solid colors, materials, geometric patterns, thus expanding even more the customization possibilities and offering improved solar integrations.
All this will be presented from November 13th to 15th at Amsterdam RAI, stand 07.330B.
