Solar Decathlon China is taking place these days in Datong, China. This event features solar energy and its many applications in the construction field as a protagonist.
Solbian participates with panels made in collaboration with
Sabic, partner in charge of grid-connected installations.
Halo, this is the name of the ambitious project created by the University of Chalmers, Gothenburg and developed by a large team of engineers and architects. The goal, fully achieved, was to build a solar-powered house designed to be shared by multiple people carrying out their daily activities. Solbian has provided the panels needed for the photovoltaic roof of the building.
The competition is divided into 10 segments: maximum points for each is 100 points and maximum points for the entire competition is 1000 points. Each segment can be divided into smaller races and the points are then divided accordingly. The contest will run until the 11th of August, a date that will establish the winner of
Solar Decathlon China.
We can only wish good luck to the Swedish team and the
Halo project!
