Emilia 3 in Australia for the 2013 World Solar Challenge

The Emilia 3 solar car presentation on August 6th, has generated considerable interest among the audience and media, who have highlighted the use of advanced technology combined with low weight and high performances.

The afternoon of the same day, the vehicle, which is equipped with Solbian solar panels, has been tested in the Modena Autodrome. The tests have shown that Emilia 3 represents a big step forward compared to the previous Emilia 2. Both public and driving team members had the opportunity to appreciate the vehicle qualities and drivers in particular have praised its drivability.

Several team members took turns during the test phase, ending the day with over 20 laps. The prototype was then taken to the port of Genoa and loaded inside a container bound for Melbourne, awaiting the start of the 2013 World Solar Challenge, which will take place from October 6 th to 13th.
