Solar powered phone boxes save lives in Ireland

Wooden replicas of old phone boxes are becoming life saving points throughout the city of Killarney in Ireland. The project was born from a collaboration between Burke Joinery and Atsr. These phone boxes are powered by a solar panel mounted on the top of the cabin, a SP 47Q ALLinONE manufactured by Solbian Energie Alternative. Killarney is the hometown of Tom Geaney, a young football player whose life was saved thanks to the use of a defibrillator after a cardiac arrest during a match. Gaeney is now supporting this important initiative that could represent a huge help for citizen and save many lives.
