Solarbox: the new London's green phone booth

London’s red phone boxes turn into solar charging stations thanks to the Solarbox project.

The London-based project gives anyone who needs to charge his smartphone the opportunity to do it inside the SolarBox. The team behind the project estimates that users will get around a 20 percent charge boost from a 12 minute visit.

Each green box is equipped with a SP112Q Solbian flexible solar panel mounted to the roof, which provides enough power to charge 100 phones per day.
